my life in D minor

Oddly….it seems as though music is taking over my life. Not just “instrumental” music, but vocal music.

For example, I can tell that I’ve been getting better at the clarinet. I can play up to a high “C” without looking up the note. Even though it’s just a two note expansion (on my range), it’s still something. Also, I’ve been getting better at the piano. I’ve been trying to learn the notes on the piano without using the little numbers system thing, but it’s really hard. My parents said they’d get my private lessons, but only god knows when that will happen. And finally, I’m even learning how to playing guitar *correctly*. I already know one whole choard. I’m hawtt.

And I’ve also been listening to much more music lately. I’ve pulled out several old CD’s and listened to them also. Yesterday I spent the whole day listening to Avril Lavigne, “Let Go,” Pink, “Mizzundastood,” and some other old albums and stuff. I’ve even set up my old karaoke machine and set up all the mics and stuff. I then set up a little “recording studio” in my room; however it’s just some sheets hung up in a corner that blocks the corner of the room off from the rest of the room. I’ve wired microphone cords through the sheet and I’ve actually recorded a few songs and stuff. It’s my little corner of the world. It just feels great to be there.

As surprised as I am to say it, it’s (music) probably moved up the my #2 hobby (#1 = blogging). Look out New York, because I’m comin.
