The Odyssey Was the Worst Mistake in History (Even worse than New Coke!)

I hate The Odyssey.

I hate it SO much. Not only is it about twelve levels above my current reading level, but none of it makes sense! It’s just garbage! It’s full of unframiliar vocabulary, complicated stories, and stupid footnotes, which are more commonly known as crap.

I don’t even want to think about what Mister Homer was smoking when he wrote this garbage, because it’s probably even worse than ten pounds of weed. Make that two hundred pounds of weed. No; two thousand!!!

I honestly do not understand how the heck I’m supposed to survive off of Cliff’s Notes forever, especially when I have to be the leader of our stupid “literary circles”, now can I?

What am I gonna do?

To keep with the theme of horrible things from school, I failed another Algebra quiz. I must have a C in that class! Hopefully, I can raise my grade by turning in some missing assignments to a B before interims, or I’m dead!

And to top it all off, Writer’s Guild is tomorrow, and I need a piece of literature to submit! I need to write it tonight!

But, on a somewhat lighter note, I have an “A” in Spanish. However, my grade for the “homework” category is a D. I can raise that when I turn in two of my missing assignments, which will take a good amount of time to complete.

Now ain’t that just the cherry on top of the ice cream sundae we call life?

Happy Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day, everybody! I can feel the love in the air.

I gave Ashley her Valentine and some candy. That girl is awesome! She’s my true homie. I know I can tell her anything without fear of rejection or embarassment. She’s a real friend :)

But, with Valentine’s Day comes new love. I think a little spark has “sparked”, but I won’t so with whom it has sparked yet, until it becomes offical (if it ever does).

We played with beans in math today. That was wierd. It was annoying because we got REALLY small beans and every other group got huge beans. It was so hard to count out 50 of them!

And, finally, History Day was due today. We turned our documentary in. I think it was pretty awesome, considering that it was somewhat of a “cram” project. I can’t wait to get my grade.

P.S. If you are reading this, you have to get Gmail! It’s the best thing since Excedrin. Especiall Gmail Chat! Just ask Cara! It rocks. Email me for an invite. :)

Well, Well, Well

Hello, everybody! It’s been a while. A busy while.

I finished BOTH Grease shows! I’ve been involved in three different Greaes productions, and frankly I’m starting to get sick of the show! Sorta……I just hate that annoying piano CD that they’ve been using. Live music is so much better!

Joseph is also going pretty well. My song sounds pretty good. The choreography is going well. Blocking is pretty easy. It’s going to be an AWESOME show! Especially Cast A! We are way totally better than B. Except for maybe the Brothers. I’m not sure. But everybody else is better.

I got my check last week. $66. Pretty good, I guess. I want to try and get a summer job or something to boost my funds. I need some extra money! I hate being dirt broke.

Unfortunately, though, a lingering catastrophe is approaching: my blog hosting expires next month! Ryan isn’t renewing his hosting, but he has been an awesome host for the past year! Thanks a ton! :) I’m working on moving my blog to somewhere else, but I’m not sure where it’s going to be yet. Any suggestions?

disaster…after disaster…after disaster

History Day is due on TUESDAY. ONE WEEK! We have pictures and half of our script done, and we have about 5 hours of work time this week to finish the WHOLE project. The voice-over, the actual clips and timing, all the paperwork, EVERYTHING. Due in 8 days. What’s up with that? We are never going to finish with a decent project. Never ever in eight days.

I placed third in the Science Fair. I’m going to county. :S I placed. I’m moving on to compete against people who are way smarter than me. I know absolutely nothing about my project. I did it in a week. I made up some of my data so it would be more realistic. My board was put together in two nights. Some of my photographs are out-of-focus.

Yet, I’m going to county. Who am I fooling?

And if that’s not enough, I’m still looking for a Valentine.  I need a freakin miracle.
