Go Lightning

First two days of high school! How cool?!?!?!

Riding the bus for the first time in three years is a lot of fun! The only downside is that I don’t get home until 2:40 (final bell rings at 2:10), but at least I’m not walking!

Drama has been awesome these past two days! I love that class….with a passion! We played the picnic game today. Everybody was on the ball except for Kesney, who brough toilet paper (he is hilarious). The class as a whole seems very nice, and it’s gonna be a blast!

English this year doesn’t seem like it will be a major improvement over last year. Okay, it will definately be a lot better, but coming from Mrs. Hutzell that doesn’t mean much. There’s just something about Horner that doesn’t rub me the right way…I bet he’s nice, but there’s just one little thing…and Horner’s corner is kind of scary.

P.E. is very hot. Very hot and humid. And the locker rooms smell like old people. Really stinky old people. I have locker #17. Mrs. Davis seems cool.

Geometry actually seems like it’s going to be a lot of fun. I’ll admit that I think it’s going to be challenging, but I really like Mr. Smith. He seems really cool….like Snake on Degrassi (notice a resemblance?)!

Biology also seems very hard. I have a lot of friends in there, which will be nice, but the course in general sounds very difficult. All of Mrs. Duff’s little descriptions of the units made me shiver.

Lunch was fun. On A-Days (Geo), I have B lunch with Sandy. On B-Days (Bio), I’ve been hanging out with Mayfield people in the atrium….unforunately we can’t eat out there (all these dumb new rules). Oh, well, it was still a blast.

Spanish sounds very awesome, too. I like Sra. Chancellor. She can be very rude sometimes, but overall she sounds nice.

Same with History. That sounds kinda cool. The cirriculum sounds interesting!

We have our first drama club meeting Thursday after school in rm. A139. All are welcome!

Somebody pulled the fire alarm today. I love the fire alarms at Long Reach. They don’t make that annoying buzzing noise! They flash and then THEY TALK!!!! They say “Your attention please! Your attention please! An emergency has been reported in the building. Please leave the building by the nearest exit.” I love those things. Somebody feel free to pull it again?

How the HELL?

I think today is the first day that I actually realize that I start high school tomorrow.

Up until now, I was unable to grasp the concept.? I understood it, but I didn’t really…understand it.? Now, I’m beginning to understand it, but not without some doubt.? Where did my summer vacation go?? It seems like just yesterday I was talking to Mrs. Bridner during ninth period, and then having to make it through the big crowd of people right outside the doors, and then walking home through the woods.

Where did all that go?

But, most importantly, where did nine years go?? I remember walking into kindergarten, meeting Chelsea, playing with her, walking home from my first day of first grade. It’s amazing how time flies!

When I think about this exciting new journey I’m about to embark on, I can’t help but think what the hell am I doing?!?!.

I guess I’m about to find out.

Delicacy, My First Single

Today was yet another boring, vegging out day. I spend most of my time either sleeping or playing with GarageBand (hey, it’s the last weekend of summer! Lemme embrace it!). In doing so, I mixed my very first song and created my very first EP record:

Delicacy EP
Tracklisting

  1. Delicacy
  2. Delicacy: 1000 Euro Rmx
  3. Delicacy: Preliminary Mix

I’ve uploaded the remix to iCompositions, and the response has been overwhelming!? One comment in the first five minutes that it was posted (Of course, I’ve yet to receive any more).

So, if you have a couple spare minutes, give it a listen.? I’d like to hear what you have to say.? I’ll upload the (unmixed) song a little bit later.

Welcome Back!

Well, my hiatus is over and I’m ready to blog!

While I was closed, some new things were added. Take a look:

  • Ability to change themes; See sidebar box labeled “flava flav” which lists the available themes. NOTE: Not all features that work with k2 work with other themes. You have been warned!
  • Popularity Contest; new ranking system that ranks my posts according to reader feedback. See single post pages and sidebar for ranking info. Creds to Alex.
  • Wordpress Mobile; Now, you can access my blog on your mobile devices and be automatically redirected to a phone-friendly version of the site.? Again, creds to Alex.
  • New Theme (kind of); I’ve created a custom scheme based off of the k2 theme. Blue, anybody?

It feels good to be back! :)
