Is Now Soon Enough?

Looking back, I can’t believe that the past two years have flown by so rapidly. It seems like just yesterday I was at the movies with Chelsea and Steven and we were happy little seventh graders. Yesterday? More like two years ago since yesterday.

I emailed Chelsea yesterday when I realized that that anniversary was two years ago and she seemed to be caught in a similar stupor. Seventh grade was an awesome year, and I guess I kind of miss it. I mean, sure, it was by far the year with the most drama, but we were all in it together. It was the year before Chelsea moved, the year after Chelsea and Steven were together, and we were all so happy! The worst problems that we had in seventh grade were, like…cutters? But that’s other people’s personal business, so I won’t get into that.

I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’ve lost all sense of time. The past two years have flown by SO FAST. Even recently, the weeks have gone by incredibly fast. It seems like my alarm goes off on Monday morning, I blink, wake up, and then it’s Friday afternoon. I’m not complaining, but it’s so strange. I can’t wait to get out of school, though. All of this racing time is building up to summer, I guess.

Fasten your seatbelts, because my whirlwind-of-a-life is getting faster by the minute.

Dude, the older you get, the faster time flys by. Seems like just yesterday I went to Waterloo for the first time, and that was back in 2003 cuz I moved to U.S. in April. Now it’s 2007, im about to go to 10th grade, and thinking back to when I was 7-8 years old, when I used to hang out with Russian 14-15 year olds, I thought I would never be so old… I cherish every day, cuz we ain’t got that many left. It’s pure math; if the average lifetime is, say, 70 years, then we’ve already lived 1/5th of it! And 20,400 isn’t a lot at all…

I hear you! Time goes by so fast. Especially when things are going well. That’s why you have to always hang on to those special moments.
