As you may or may not remember, I went through a horrible nocturnal stage last summer where I would go to bed between 1:00 AM and 5:00 AM and sleep until 11. By the time school started, I had vowed never to do that again after having so much trouble breaking the routine. Unfortunately, it seems that those old habits are starting to sneak back up on me again.

Yesterday, I came home from school, bummed around for two hours, and then laid down at 4 to take a nap. I’m sorry, but waking up at the crack of dawn and then working for nine hours is quite exhausting! Anyway, I laid down at 4, expecting to sleep for an hour, possibly two.

I woke up at 7:45.

Having slept away all of the late afternoon/early night, I was wired! I couldn’t go back to sleep, or I would be laying in bed for several hours, so I hopped on the computer. Nobody was online at all. Nobody was on AIM, Facebook, or even anything.

So, I wandered through the Interweb for several hours, bored as anything, when I finally felt tired enough to go to bed at 1:30 AM. I went to bed then and slept until 11:00 AM this morning. Seeing a pattern?
