Phew.
Is it really Saturday already? So many things have been going on that I seem to have lost track of time in the past week. Production began on Oz! on Monday, which was…chaotic. I found myself working 13- and 15-hour days (with school and rehearsal) and coming home exhausted and barely being able to sleep.
The show opened last night and it was actually pretty good. Definitely better than I expected. Sound (designed by yours truly) was wonderful, lights were pretty good, and stage crew was questionable (but better than before). The cast seemed pretty together. The first act was spectacular, as was most of the second act. Only one scene fell flat on its face, but it quickly rebounded.
The show closes tonight, and I’m excited. It’s been a great experience to work with these kids and getting to know them has been wonderful. I’ve appreciated all of the opportunities that I’ve been given, and I hope tonight’s show runs smoothly. :)
