Happy Halloween

I dance around this empty house,
Tear us down,
Throw you out.
Screaming down the halls,
Spinning all around and now we fall.

Pictures framing up the past
Your taunting smirk behind the glass.
This museum full of ash,
Once a tickle
Now a rash.

This used to be a funhouse
But now it’s full of evil clowns.
It’s time to start the countdown,
I’m gonna burn it down down down,
I’m gonna burn it down.

9, 8, 7, 6 5 4, 3, 2, 1, fun!

Echoes knocking on locked doors
All the laughter from before.
I’d rather live out on the street
Than in this haunted memory.

I’ve called the movers,
Called the maids,
We’ll try to exorcise this place.
Drag my mattress to the yard
Crumble tumble house of cards!

This used to be a funhouse
But now it’s full of evil clowns
It’s time to start the countdown
I’m gonna burn it down down down
I’m gonna burn it down

This used to be a funhouse
But now it’s full of evil clowns.
It’s time to start the countdown,
I’m gonna burn it down down down,
I’m gonna burn it down.

9, 8, 7, 6 5 4, 3, 2, 1, fun!

Oh, I’m crawling through the doggy door,
My key don’t fit my life no more.
I’ll change the drapes,
I’ll break the plates,
I’ll find a new place and
Burn this f**ker down!

9, 8, 7, 6 5 4, 3, 2, 1, fun!

This used to be a funhouse
But now it’s full of evil clowns.
It’s time to start the countdown,
I’m gonna burn it down down down,
I’m gonna burn it down.

I’m gonna burn it down.

This song is especially relevant to me right now.  Happy Halloween!

A Long Week

This has been a long week.  And this long week has not a good week.  I’m so glad that it’s almost Friday.

Rocking It Darn Well

So I finally went shopping last night for my back-to-school clothes/winter wardrobe. I only spent $80, but I got some amazing stuff.

From Old Navy, I bought a pretty cool brown argyle sweater, a pair of jeans, and a black thermal top. I swear to kg, the black shirt is the most warmest, comfiest shirt. Ever. In fact, I’m wearing it right now! My downstairs is warm (in normal pajama pants), my upstairs is toasty and cozy in the thermal shirt, and my attic is freezing because I don’t wear hats while I’m laying in bed. (And by ‘upstairs’, ‘downstairs’, and ‘attic’, I am referring to my torso, legs, and head if you didn’t pick up on that.) I also got an awesome blue striped shirt from Target that I wore today. Hopefully I’ll get around to posting pictures soon.

Oh, and guess what! Remember the wool pea coat that I posted about earlier? I saw it in person yesterday and it was horrendous. The buttons had big anchors on them. It was a coat that was nice from far away but absolutely frightening up close…much like Windows Vista.

As much as I would love to say that I get all my clothes from Versace and Dolce Gabanna and Prada, I cannot. I rock the Target, HM, and Old Navy and occasionally the sale racks at Aeropostale and the clearance section at American Eagle (seriously- everything I have from there I got on clearance!). But, you know what? I rock it darn well.

Why Is It Always Me?

Remember the amazing Old Navy coat that I found back in August that I resolved to purchase someday?  Well, I ordered it last week and it came on Tuesday!  And it is amazing, as always.  I truly love it, and the best part is that I got it on clearance for $30 (marked down from $45).

But, um, I’m kind of having an affair.  With a different coat.  A black wool peacoat from Old Navy.

Isn’t it pretty cool?  I would totally snatch it up and just rotate between my brown parka coat, my new brown plaid 50′s-esque jacket, and this coat except for the fact that this coat is $70.  But now I feel really bad that I feel bad about my new coat.

My life sucks.

But in other news, I’m going to be making my rounds soon to buy winter clothing.  And by “my rounds”, I mean I’ll drop in on Old Navy and H&M (and possibly The Gap, Aeropostalé, and American Eagle if there are good sales) and hope to find something good, although frankly I am feeling quite uninspired by the fall collections.

Wish me luck.

Can you find Kathy Griffin amongst this mess of cookies?

School Is Bad For Me

Ever since school started in August, I’ve been really unhealthy. I’ve been eating a TON more and exercising a LOT less. Plus, I never have any energy and I’m kinda grumpy. I need to work on this.

On the plus side, I’ve been sleeping a lot more this year. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to have made a difference.

Oh, and did I mention that I no longer have any free time?

Is it Christmas break yet?
