My workouts have become sporadic and my eating habits are appalling. I’ve either eaten too much or have barely eaten anything, both of which are terribly unhealthy habits to develop.

So, this is it. I’ve come too far to turn back now, I’m recommitting myself to this challenge! And, as punishment for my deplorable actions over the past two weeks, I’m ending this post with an unattractive, non-retouched photo of myself that basically describes how I am feeling.

What?!

Hairspray is about to close.

What?! Where have the past five months gone? They absolutely flew by. Although the show has definitely run its course, I’m sad to see it go. I’ve made a ton of great friends who have helped me to become a better person. Plus the show is amazing. Can’t wait for Helen Hayes next year.

I’m now a “skinny minny” apparently. Evidently the extreme dieting and exercise have been paying off. Now all that I have to do is motivate myself to continue.

I don’t want to go back to school in the fall. Who needs college? Not Danny.

About to turn 18.

Still don’t know how to celebrate.

Life is good. It’s complex and confusing and exhausting but overall, it’s been going well.

It hit me last night. I was working our evening performance and in the middle of a set change that was going on during a scene. Since our theatre is in the round, there are literally audience members wherever we look. I quickly glanced at a section of the audience as I was walking offstage, set pieces in tow, when I saw one of the best things that I’ve ever seen: an entire row of people fixated on the show with huge smiles on their faces. They were laughing and enjoying themselves and you could see it on their faces, plain as day.

Another show that I worked on opened last night and, since I was working on my other show last night I went to the matinee show today and noticed the same thing. I love hearing the audience react to the performance; their applause, laughter, tears…it’s all like a drug. And I’m hooked.

I bought a new bedspread today from Target…navy blue comforter (reversible! with light blue on the back), brown sheets and yellow pillowcases. It’s so cool that I decided to share. (Oh, and it’s vaguely reminiscent of an old blog theme that I used back in the day!)

Tonight’s John King leadout was a segment called “Pedro en El Calle”.

Alright…first of all, it’s LA calle, not el calle. Secondly, I don’t know who thought it would be a good idea to film this fool running around wearing a mini sombrero and passing out nachos in honor of Cinco de Mayo. Third, the Spanish language was butchered throughout this segment.
