My phone is broken! My trusty RAZR is toast! I was walking around in the kitchen a second ago and I set it down on the counter, expecting a text message. I went to grab a drink, and when I came back I accidentally knocked it off the counter instead of picking it up and it fell and hit the kitchen floor! I’ve dropped my phone tons, and nothing has ever happened before so I wasn’t really worried.
I should have been.
I picked it up, and the screen was white (which is usually what happens when I drop it, and I usually just need to pull the battery out and do a hard-reset). I pulled out the battery and turned it back on and THE SCREEN WAS STILL WHITE (and the outside screen was blue). Not cool. I turned it on/off about a thousand times and it was still just blank white/blue screen. I was alarmed at first (the ‘blue screen of death’ on PC’s came to mind), but then I realized that the phone still worked! Although the screens had been compromised, I can still place/receive calls (although I can’t see who’s calling). It seems like everything is fine except for the screens; the keypad and speakers still work! (And for those of you who want to make judgments about AT&T and Motorola and lambaste me with your pro-Verizon/LG garbage, you can suck it! I’ve had this phone for about two years now and this is the first time it’s crapped out on me. So there.)
Although I am excited because this gives me even more reason to get an iPhone sooner, there is one itsy-bitsy problem. The new iPhone isn’t even out yet and probably won’t be for another month and that’s the one that I’m holding out for. So, I guess I’m gonna have to pick up one of those crappy $10 phones from Target in the meantime. iPhone, here I come!
P.S. – Don’t text me (email is preferable for the time being).
