You know you’re a drama nerd when you spend more than $100 on clear, translucent pieces of colored plastic. But, if it’s any consolation, the expensive plastic is all part of a larger scheme to design some amazing, spectacular lighting for a show full of bratty little middle schoolers. I guess it all evens out in the end.
Yesterday morning, the SCP crew headed out to Fischer Productions in Hanover and spent lots of money (and I got an amazing new stage makeup kit that I had been eyeing for a while now that I am now in debt for…lol). Then, we went to Target and got Pokemon cards and bubble guns. Briana and I had a “blast from the past” moment when we saw all of the 90’s toys and cards (Matchbox cars, Pokemon/Yu-Gi-Oh, etc.). It was a good time. :)
After that, I came home and cut gels for an hour and probably gave myself carpal tunnel syndrome (I’m probably going to give myself a broken neck next week after I fall off of the ladder of death trying to install the gels) and had a voice lesson.
Later, Chelsea and I hung out at the mall. I got a shirt on sale at Aeropostale for $14 that looks pretty awesome (and I almost bought a shirt that was almost identical to the one that I was wearing…blonde moment!). We had Monkey Bubble Tea, but mine was pretty nasty because I got the wrong flavor. Then, we took some pictures in the photo booth and had ice cream and chicken.
It was a good day. :)
Looking back, I can’t believe that the past two years have flown by so rapidly. It seems like just yesterday I was at the movies with Chelsea and Steven and we were happy little seventh graders. Yesterday? More like two years ago since yesterday.
I emailed Chelsea yesterday when I realized that that anniversary was two years ago and she seemed to be caught in a similar stupor. Seventh grade was an awesome year, and I guess I kind of miss it. I mean, sure, it was by far the year with the most drama, but we were all in it together. It was the year before Chelsea moved, the year after Chelsea and Steven were together, and we were all so happy! The worst problems that we had in seventh grade were, like…cutters? But that’s other people’s personal business, so I won’t get into that.
I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’ve lost all sense of time. The past two years have flown by SO FAST. Even recently, the weeks have gone by incredibly fast. It seems like my alarm goes off on Monday morning, I blink, wake up, and then it’s Friday afternoon. I’m not complaining, but it’s so strange. I can’t wait to get out of school, though. All of this racing time is building up to summer, I guess.
Fasten your seatbelts, because my whirlwind-of-a-life is getting faster by the minute.
Well, everybody, the time has come. Here are the winners of my 2006 In Review Awards.

Well everybody, it’s that time of year, and you know what that means! Time for my third annual YEAR IN REVIEW POST (yes, I said THIRD ANNUAL!)!
This year, things are going to run a bit differently, because the way I did things last year kind of pissed everybody off. I’ve removed “Biggest Mistakes” from my list, and “Biggest Enemies” has been replaced with “Bitch, You’re On Thin Ice!”. Some other categories have been switched around, also, because they just don’t fit with what’s happened this year.
I’m going to post the nominees today (December 30), and announce the winners on New Years Eve (that’s tomorrow, isn’t it?).
But, anyway, let’s begin with the nominees.
