I logged onto your site today to check out your New Arrivals section and was appalled to find a plethora of new offerings for spring. In Baltimore, it is currently 26 degrees with snow in the forecast for the next 36 hours (oh, and not to mention the three feet of snow that is already on the ground). Cargo shorts and bright colored polos? I think not!

I wish I was in spring with you guys, but I’m stuck in winter for the time being. Please stop teasing me!

Fondly,
Danny

I must say I am very disappointed.

Why does it take you so long to ship my online orders? I love getting your amazing online-only coupons delivered straight to my inbox, but I am frustrated with your shipping process. Whenever I order stuff from sites like Amazon or Musician’s Friend, they always arrive on my doorstep within five business days. Musician’s Friend is particularly amazing because all of my orders are shipped within one business day.

But you? Not so much.

I used a 30% off coupon that you sent me on Sunday night. It is now Friday night. Have my clothes arrived yet? No. Was I expecting them to? Not really. But have they even shipped yet? No! They aren’t even en route, which means that I won’t be getting them until Thursday at the earliest. This is not pleasing!

Please work on this. It is making me very angry.

Regards,

Danny

I took this pic immediately after that tweet:

I felt so motivated and I was fearful of letting down my tens of blog readers/twitter subscribers. So, I did some laundry. My closet currently:

I’m rather upset with you, old friend. Your current collection has really let me down. Maybe it’s just because the men’s section of the Columbia store takes up like 1/8 of the store, but I felt that there was nothing good when I visited you today. There were tons of t-shirts (in December? really?) and plain boring hoodies. I want more vests and shirts and patterns and colors.

Express, on the other hand, really pleased me. If their shirts didn’t clost $60 then I would have bought, like, seven of them. You should aspire to be more like Express, minus the price.

I hope we can work through this.

Love,

Danny

Remember the amazing Old Navy coat that I found back in August that I resolved to purchase someday? Well, I ordered it last week and it came on Tuesday! And it is amazing, as always. I truly love it, and the best part is that I got it on clearance for $30 (marked down from $45).

But, um, I’m kind of having an affair. With a different coat. A black wool peacoat from Old Navy.

Isn’t it pretty cool? I would totally snatch it up and just rotate between my brown parka coat, my new brown plaid 50′s-esque jacket, and this coat except for the fact that this coat is $70. But now I feel really bad that I feel bad about my new coat.

My life sucks.

But in other news, I’m going to be making my rounds soon to buy winter clothing. And by “my rounds”, I mean I’ll drop in on Old Navy and H&M (and possibly The Gap, Aeropostalé, and American Eagle if there are good sales) and hope to find something good, although frankly I am feeling quite uninspired by the fall collections.

Wish me luck.

Congratulations, H&M. You’ve fought your way to the top and you are now one of my favorite clothing stores (along with Old Navy). I heard about your store in the Columbia Mall from a friend at school and have been dying to check you out ever since then. Chelsea and I scoped you out last month, but unfortunately I had no funds and therefore was unable to purchase anything, but I liked with I saw.

Today, however, one of my favorite ladies and I decided to go shopping at the mall and you were the first store that we visited. I was amazed at all the cool stuff you had, and I am absolutely in love with the $16 sweater that I bought from you today that I plan to wear when we see Kathy Griffin play in Washington, D.C. in exactly 45 days. So, thanks.

Love,

Not in a girl way, but in a normal way. I think clothes are a fun way to express yourself. I don’t go out ever week and spend hundreds of dollars on new clothes that I’m only gonna wear once like some people do, but I like to occasionally go out and pick up a new shirt or pair of jeans. Since my life has become horridly boring as of late and the other new Long Reach bloggers are really fashion-heavy, I’m going to give you an exclusive tour of my wardrobe. Exciting, I know.

Jeans

Denim the staple of American wardrobe, and I am no exception. I have four pairs of jeans that I wear regularly, each of a different shade. I like having a “rainbow” because it allows me to have tons of different combinations of outfits. (All jeans pictured above are from Old Navy)

Sweaters

Sweaters rock. I have three that I wear regularly, all pictured above. The light blue one I got on clearance from Aeropostale a few years back (I don’t wear it that often, but I used to!). The red-striped and black- and gray-striped sweaters are cashmere/cotton blend sweaters from Old Navy that I picked up at the end of last year. I love them.

Hoodies

I’m not too huge on hoodies. They’re comfortable and pretty rugged, but I don’t wear them all too often. The majority of mine are gray, with two red and one brown. All from Old Navy. I think hoodies are good weekend clothes.

T-Shirts

I wear t-shirts year-round. During the winter, my t’s are usually just thrown on under a hoodie or a sweater, but during the summer I put more thought in to what I wear. Pictured above are six of my favorite t-shirts. From top to bottom, left to right: My turqoise Grease shirt from last year, my green Disney shirt from last week, brown OCNJ shirt from over the summer, my purple/maroon Dr. Pepper ringer T from Kohls, a cool dark blue t-shirt from Old Navy a couple years back, and a blue Underdog ringer t-shirt from Kohls.

Polos

As with hoodies, I’m not huge on polos. These are probably the first polos that I’ve owned that I intend on wearing casually, and I got them all three last week from Old Navy for my Florida trip. They’re all striped pique polos, colors from left to right: light blue, dark blue, brown. I’m gonna be wearing these more over the spring/summer, so don’t expect to see these on me for a month of two.

Shirts

Surprisingly, only one of these shirts is from Old Navy, the gray/black one on the left. It’s warm and comfy and goes with almost any t-shirt. The remaining three are from Aeropostale. I don’t wear the multi-colored striped one that often, but I wear the brown and red ones pretty often. Ironically, I blogged about the two shirts on the right back in December and complained about them, but ended up buying them on clearance for ten dollars a few weeks later (if you haven’t noticed yet, most of my Aeropostale clothing was bought on clearance!).

So there you have it. An exclusive tour of my wardrobe. One of the things that I strive for is versatility; I like to be able to mix and match. I wear tons of different t-shirts under my black flannel shirt (right now, I’m wearing an orange one. A few weeks ago, I wore my Grease t-shirt under it), I can wear my red and white Aero shirt under my red-striped Old Navy sweater to mix it up, I can wear different colors of denim with my gray hoodies, etc. Otherwise, I’d spend too much money on tons of clothes that I can only wear with one outfit. No thank you!
