You know that I love you but we’ve gotta talk.
I logged onto your site today to check out your New Arrivals section and was appalled to find a plethora of new offerings for spring. In Baltimore, it is currently 26 degrees with snow in the forecast for the next 36 hours (oh, and not to mention the three feet of snow that is already on the ground). Cargo shorts and bright colored polos? I think not!
I wish I was in spring with you guys, but I’m stuck in winter for the time being. Please stop teasing me!
Fondly,
Danny

Five new pairs of flip flops for summer. Pretty awesome. I love Old Navy. :)
I must say I am very disappointed.
Why does it take you so long to ship my online orders? I love getting your amazing online-only coupons delivered straight to my inbox, but I am frustrated with your shipping process. Whenever I order stuff from sites like Amazon or Musician’s Friend, they always arrive on my doorstep within five business days. Musician’s Friend is particularly amazing because all of my orders are shipped within one business day.
But you? Not so much.
I used a 30% off coupon that you sent me on Sunday night. It is now Friday night. Have my clothes arrived yet? No. Was I expecting them to? Not really. But have they even shipped yet? No! They aren’t even en route, which means that I won’t be getting them until Thursday at the earliest. This is not pleasing!
Please work on this. It is making me very angry.
Regards,
Danny
Upon the conclusion of every year, I find it integral to reflect upon the events that have transpired over the past 366 days (leap year!). I have chosen to remember 2008 based upon the cultural facets that it defined for itself. I announced the categories nominees for my 2008 in review awards yesterday, and today I am proud to present the winners.
The winner(s) from each category are boldfaced.
See the winners after the break. Continue reading ‘2008 In Review: The Winners’
Well folks, it’s that time of year again. I’m proud to present the nominees for my fifth annual (2007 2006 2005 [2004 is lost forever]) year-in-review post. This post is a retrospect of the aspects of pop culture that I feel most heavily defined 2008 and it covers everything from technology to entertainment.

Remember the amazing Old Navy coat that I found back in August that I resolved to purchase someday? Well, I ordered it last week and it came on Tuesday! And it is amazing, as always. I truly love it, and the best part is that I got it on clearance for $30 (marked down from $45).
But, um, I’m kind of having an affair. With a different coat. A black wool peacoat from Old Navy.

Isn’t it pretty cool? I would totally snatch it up and just rotate between my brown parka coat, my new brown plaid 50’s-esque jacket, and this coat except for the fact that this coat is $70. But now I feel really bad that I feel bad about my new coat.
My life sucks.
But in other news, I’m going to be making my rounds soon to buy winter clothing. And by “my rounds”, I mean I’ll drop in on Old Navy and H&M (and possibly The Gap, Aeropostalé, and American Eagle if there are good sales) and hope to find something good, although frankly I am feeling quite uninspired by the fall collections.
Wish me luck.
If anybody wants to get me a late birthday present, I’m totally digging this jacket.

Just a suggestion…

I got a gift card to go buy an iPhone 3G. And tickets to go see Kathy Griffin live in DC next month. And gift cards to Old Navy and Barnes & Noble. And an awesome shirt. And Jericho season 2 on DVD (including alternate, unaired ending). And on top of all that amazing stuff, I got to celebrate with some amazing people.
I think I’m gonna like being 16.
Are you kidding me? Old Navy has nothing left at all in any of my sizes! The pinstripe chinos that I wanted are only available in size 40 and up, and the sweaters that I wanted are all only size XXL and up! None of anything is left! And, even worse, all of the out-of-stock items that I want are on sale AND I have an online-only coupon! This is a travesty! Now, I have to actually go and buy the clothes in a brick-and-mortar store and brave the insane suburban housewives who will probably kill me before I can get my stuff!
